Design and Desire – Down the Rabbit Hole
_our first curatorial project in Belgium, presented as part of Brussels Design September.
_we partnered with Rempart 44 to develop “Design and Desire – Down the Rabbit Hole”, a curatorial project exploring the relationship between creativity, communication, and commodification.
_dp3.0 took over the working space of Rempart 44, typically a design studio, and transformed it into a temporary gallery. We brought together twelve Belgium-based artists, designers, and creatives whose work in part interrogates, subverts, or engages with the relationship between creativity and the systems of consumption that both sustain and distort it — positioning the exhibition as a critical reflection on contemporary creative systems.

_what unites these creatives is a human force that resists easy categorisation. In their works, the real becomes uncanny and unstable, function slips into fantasy and vice versa, and nature becomes performative echoing our desires back to us.
Posters and catalogue: TheWakDesign Design and Desire is part of _dp3.0’s ongoing active research. If you’d like to develop a project or collaboration, get in touch.
